About

Hi, I’m Kate.

I’m endlessly curious about why people care about the things they care about.

That curiosity has shaped my career. I’ve spent nearly two decades studying audiences, building brands, developing strategies, stringing the right words together to make something resonate, creating connections, and figuring out what drives discovery, participation, loyalty, and belonging.

I’ve worked across entertainment, consumer brands, sports, hospitality, higher education, publishing, and live events. Along the way, my work has propelled movies to the top of the box office and brought series into the cultural conversation. I’ve launched apps and video games, helped products sell out, turned races into annual traditions, and helped Los Angeles fall in love with running.

The common thread has always been people.

I love understanding what turns an audience into a community and what makes someone feel genuinely connected to a brand, story, event, experience, or each other. I’m fascinated by what makes adults sing together in stadiums, line up for midnight premieres, travel across the country for a race, or find their people somewhere they never expected.

Running has been one of the great constants of my life.

I started running in 1999 and have since won races from 5Ks to 30-hour ultras, set course records, and become deeply woven into the running community, especially here in Los Angeles.

I love getting far enough outside my bubble that I have something new to understand, whether that means experiencing another culture, discovering the kind of quiet that only exists underwater, or being a complete beginner again.

I like having something new to figure out. I like learning. And when something captures me, I tend to go deep.

I pay attention. I ask questions. I connect dots.

And then I figure out what we should do with what we’ve learned.
